In July of 1982, Sunset Plumbing
opened for business out of the home of our owners, Steve and Diney Cook. Steve and Diney came up with the name of the business, Sunset Plumbing, as they were looking out of their big picture
window at a spectacular sunset over the Sisters Mountain range.
Steve and Diney were the sole owners and operators
of the business until 1985, when their son, Jeff, joined the business.

Steve and Jeff worked as plumbers. Steve also was the estimator, and Diney
worked in the office at their home. By the end of 1989 the business had grown to 14 employees.

In 1992, their daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Rocky Childress, joined
the business. Julie took over the daily operation of the office and Rocky worked as a plumber.

In 1993, as business needs increased, Sunset Plumbing moved out of the home
and into a larger facility.
In 1998-99, Sunset purchased and began building the current office and warehouse facility
at 62979 NE Plateau Drive, Suite 1. Upon completion in January of 2000, Sunset Plumbing moved in.
